For those who are curious, bearings should be repacked once a year or after any time they are submerged in water for any length of time. Leaving water in the grease is what caused these bearing to go bad.

I've used this style of bearing repacker https://amzn.to/30iSIhg However I've found you use a lot of grease because it fills the center of the bearing first then packs the bearing. Plus it only works with a grease gun and the tubes of grease get expensive.
